The Castlebar school lost out to Roscommon CBS in a weather affected semifinal that saw St Gerald’s not register a single score in the first half and the victors snatching the win with a goal right at the death, which was their only score in the second half. St Gerald’s went in trailing by 1-3 to 0-0 at the turnaround, with Roscommon CBS’s county u21 man Noel Gately grabbing their first goal early in the opening half.
