Leading Galway estate agency firm DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard sold No 105 Upper Salthill for a record figure of €1.8 million, the highest figure recorded for a residential property in the Salthill area by public auction.

The Galway city based estate agent drew a large crowd, with more than 300 in attendance and 112 separate buyers registering to bid on a wide range of residential and commercial properties.

O’Donnellan & Joyce held the largest property auction ever in the west of Ireland on Friday July 21 when properties from Sligo to Limerick, right throughout the western seaboard, went under the hammer in its much acclaimed Wild Atlantic Way all day property auction. The auction attracted more than 500 people into the Harbour Hotel which was packed to capacity with barely standing room available in the auction room.

Record prices were achieved for Galway city properties in a packed auction room with more than 500 people in attendance. The Harbour Hotel on New Dock Road was full to capacity on Thursday morning for O’Donnellan & Joyce’s third auction of the year.
