Our vendors are aware that we have unrivalled results and have bought into the mantra that in order to sell at auction, properties must be priced keenly. Our recent auctions show this is the case and as long as a property offers good value then we will sell it.”

O’Donnellan & Joyce recorded seven sales when it placed nine properties under the hammer at last Friday’s auction. Colm O’Donnellan of auctioneers O’Donnellan & Joyce said they were delighted with the prices achieved and the tremendous response and bidding in the room. He said auctions are proving to be the best method of obtaining a sale on properties, and all the properties on offer had very realistic reserve prices, and the market decides the true value.

Property Partners Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard enjoyed a successful start to its 2012 auctions last Friday. The spring auction, which brought five properties to the market, was a positive start to the auction year with four of the five properties now sold.

O’Donnellan & Joyce kicked off the 2012 auction season last week in a packed auction room in the Victoria Hotel, where nine properties went up for auction. The highlight of the afternoon was a petrol station with supermarket and off-licence in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, which was being offered for sale on the instructions of liquidators Edenville Trading Ltd and Conor O’Boyle of Commerce House, Flood Street, Galway.

The club will host its 13th annual vintage auto jumble and auction which will take place on Sunday February 26 in Roundfort Community Centre.

The Victoria Hotel is expected to be a hive of activity for the first O’Donnellan & Joyce auction of 2012, which will take place next week on Friday February 24.
