TO MARK the 70th anniversary of WB Yeats’ passing, Dublin’s Focus Theatre presents a revival of an entertainment on the life and work of one of Ireland’s great creative icons.

The Coole Park biannual series of cultural events continues this winter with a feast of culture for the upcoming Winter Arts and Heritage Programme 2009. MAYO BASED Other Voices Theatre Company comes to the Town Hall Theatre next week with a triple- bill of one acts it is presenting under the title of We Are For The Dark.

There will be an international flavour to the music series at Coole Park over the next few days as part of the Coole Park Winter Programme. Tonight (Thursday) Coole will host a concert of Mexican music by The Gringo Stars from 8pm to 9pm.

Throughout January and February Ballina Arts Centre will present Jack B Yeats and the west of Ireland, a special exhibition of the artist’s works from Sligo and Mayo.
