Hurling season hots up this weekend

The county senior hurling quarter-finals are all down for decision this weekend, with three games on Saturday and one in Kenny Park on Sunday.

Athenry hosts a double header on Saturday with Craughwell taking on Tommy Larkins at 4.30pm, followed by two former All-Ireland champions St Thomas and Portumna doing battle at 6pm.

At the same time in Duggan Park (6pm ), Mullagh and Loughrea will face each other for the last four.

The last two clubs into quarter-final action are current champions Sarsfields and Gort in Kenny Park on Sunday evening at 6pm, after the conclusion of the All Ireland football final.
