The release comes just months after Gerdine was named a winner of the European Folk category at the InterContinental Music Awards for her song ‘Sky Blue’.
Combining acoustic guitar, warm vocals and lyrical storytelling, ‘Déjà Vu’ explores the experience of meeting someone for the first time, yet feeling an immediate and unexplained sense of familiarity.
The Galway artist has received support from radio stations and music publications both in Ireland and abroad, helping to establish a growing audience for her music.
Speaking ahead of the release, Sara said: “I wanted the song to capture a feeling many people have experienced, but find difficult to describe. It’s about those moments where something feels strangely familiar before you understand why.”
‘Déjà Vu’ will be released on all major streaming platforms on Friday, October 30.
