The 14th Forbidden Fruit Festival will be in Kilmainham

Kettama, the Galway-born DJ who is currently a globally influential techno producer in London, will headline a major Irish festival this summer.

Although Kettama has previously headlined Coachella and Glastonbury, the five-stage Forbidden Fruit extravaganza in Dublin this May will be his first, largescale festival back on home soil.

Tickets may be booked today and release is tomorrow.

Kettama burst onto the house and electro scene with the release of his 2018 EP Bucklyn Bridge. Since going global, Kettama has collaborated with international artists, from Fred Again to Underworld.

Known in his home town as Evan Campbell, Kettama has played the Galway International Arts Festival’s Big Top, and co-founded G-TOWN Records with fellow Galwegian DJ, Shampain. Kettama has played in clubs and festivals in the US, China, Australia, Japan, mainland Europe and across Britain.

Other headliners include Haitian-born, Montreal-based Kaytranada who played his Irish debut in 2013 at Forbidden Fruit Night. He is best known for his viral Janet Jackson remix, to Grammy-winning albums 99.9%, BUBBA, and the acclaimed Timeless.

Nia Archives blends jungle, drum & bass, and punk energy with deeply personal songwriting into high-octane sets that have earned global acclaim. Joy Crookes, the London-based singer-songwriter, brings soulful vocals, storytelling and standout tracks like ‘Early’ featuring Jafaris.

Forbidden Fruit, at the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham, will take place over the bank holiday weekend, Saturday May 30, and Sunday, May 31.

Registration for ticket pre-sales begins today, Thursday, February 12 on www.ForbiddenFruit.com Weekend ticket sales begin tomorrow, Friday, February 13, at 9am, from Ticketmaster.

Four different tiers of weekend tickets are priced from €145 to €205.50, including all charges, and may be paid for in three instalments, to spread the cost.
