STEPHEN RYAN, winner of Forbidden Fruit Comedy Competition, 2016 Irish Comedian of the Year finalist, and two-time finalist in the Chortle Student Comedy Competition, headlines the Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh.
Ryan plays the KARLnival on Tuesday September 3 at 8pm. The Limerick man has performed at the Edinburgh, Latitude, and Forbidden Fruit festivals, TedFest, and the Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway. He is a regular headliner on the Irish comedy circuit. As Chortle.co.uk said: “This composed Irishman has a charming way with words, elegantly tricksy wordplay liberally peppering his set...mesmerising aura."
Also on the bill is Big Mike Rice. He began stand up comedy in Chicago, and within two years was playing the most prestigious clubs in the city, including The Comedy Bar, where he was resident MC. He returned to his native Ireland last year, and has played major clubs in Dublin, Barcelona, and London, as well the Edinburgh Fringe and Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway.
Support is from Jack Hourigan. The MC is Karl Spain. Tickets are €6 in advance from Róisín Dubh; OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; or €8 at the door.
