The planned €20 million Robinstown sports and leisure complex took a step closer to completion this week when councillors approved the part 8 planning process for the facility.

Moate library was officially opened yesterday by the Chairman of Westmeath County Council, Cllr Joe Whelan. After many years in the Courthouse, in less than suitable conditions, the library has now been relocated to bright new fully accessible premises on the Main Street in Moate.
