Pictured offering their support to the ‘Metre to a Mile’ fundraising event to be held in the Kingfisher Clubs next Friday November 21 were Matthew Clancy of the Galway Senior Football team and Eugene Cloonan of the Galway Senior Hurling Team. ‘Metre to a Mile’ is held in aid of GOAL with in excess of €42,000 being raised last year. The funds raised from this year’s event are going towards building houses in Uganda for people affected by AIDS and homelessness in one of the poorest countries in the world.
