Mayo Fine Gael TD Michelle Mulherin has welcomed the news that the playground at Tom Ruane Park in Ballina is to re-developed as part of a €200,000 investment in the recreational amenity. Deputy Mulherin said a new play area with landscaped mounds and paths is expected to be completed by next spring.
