THE BEST, and some of the hardest to find, singles in northern soul, early reggae, Latin Boogaloo, Jamaican ska, rocksteady, and 1960s r’n’b will be spun in Galway next weekend.

The Latin Quarter Galway this week announced programme details of the Guinness Live music festival which will take place from Thursday September 27 until Sunday September 30.

Dave Barry will be bringing along a selection of vinyl for a new night called Uptight! this Sunday night at The Electric Garden. Expect to hear floor fillers from many different genres including funk, northern soul, latin boogaloo, Jamaican ska and early reggae.
