The Mayo AC ladies team were on top form at the 25th European Club Road Race Cup in Almeirim in Portugal at the weekend. The four member team recorded exceptionally good times for the 15 kilometre race held on a flat course but in very warm summer-like conditions, with temperatures reaching 25 degrees.

A large number of members from Mayo AC are getting ready to take on the challenge of the 2011 Dublin Marathon on Monday morning. Ireland West Airport Knock and Ryanair welcomed its four millionth passenger on flights to/from Ireland West Airport Knock last Monday. Transport Minister Leo Varadkar and Ireland West Knock managing director Joe Gilmore presented the four millionth passenger, Sister Maude Murphy from Knock, County Mayo, with a free holiday for two to Lanzarote including flights, transfers, and accommodation.
