Supermac’s, Ireland’s largest indigenous fast food chain was the latest company to appear on TV3’s The Apprentice. The Apprentice which is the same format as in the UK and the US, but this time the boss, Irish entrepreneur Bill Cullen, is offering the successful candidate a role working in his organisation for 12 months and a salary of €100,000. The launch of the show has been a great success.

It’s the big showdown between the Leinster champions of the past two years in what has all the ingredients to be one of the highlights of the entire provincial campaign. Club is definitely family for this pair, who between them have won 12 Leinster (Birr 7, Ballyhale 5) and eight All-Ireland titles. They have each won four All-Ireland crowns, placing them joint leaders at the top of the honours list.

Once ipon a time in a place not too far away, the enchanted folk of Panto Land decided to share with mortals their tales of heroes, villains, magic castles and princesses. After consideration, it was agreed to entrust the not too fairy-like Castlebar Pantomime with their treasured tales. For it was agreed that the enthusiasm shown by these mere mortals within Mayo to annually reproduce the tales of Panto Land deserved the support of these enchanted folk.
