Handover of keys to new MRI scanner at Mayo General Hospital

Mayo General Hospital has announced that the keys to the new permanently based MRI scanner were handed over to Mayo General Hospital by representatives of the fundraising groups at a ceremony at the hospital recently. The funding for the MRI scanner had been raised by a number of established cancer charities and the core groups involved were Cancer Action Mhaigh-Eo and the Bright Eyes Campaign.

The occupational therapy department at Mayo General Hospital relocated to the new purpose-built area to enhance the service and care provided to patients and clients attending the OT clinic. The OT Department is now situated on the second floor of the hospital near the medical wards.
