After a very successful five-week promotion of the properties due to go to auction tomorrow O’Donnellan and Joyce foresee a huge turnout and a successful conclusion to the auction. In all, eight properties will go under the hammer, originally there were nine, but the property at 124 Dangan Heights was sold prior to auction when a substantial offer was made within the first three weeks of the campaign and the owners made the decision to accept it.

NUI Galway research students awarded health-related scholarships

Fifteen NUI Galway School of Medicine research students were recently awarded Summer Student Scholarships by the Health Research Board (HRB). The aim of the HRB Summer Student Scholarships is to encourage an interest in health research and to give students an opportunity to become familiar with the research process, research techniques and methodologies through conducting a summer project. The O'Loughlin Gaels under 14 team retained their Kilkenny Feile na nGael championship title last weekend in Thomastown. O'Loughlin’s played four matches on the way to the final, beating John Lockes of Callan, Thomastown, Clara and Freshford en route. In the final they met city rivals James Stephens.
