Open days for Galway Community College secondary school

Galway Study Centre Easter revision courses

The Galway Study Centre will offer two weeks of intensive revision during the Easter holiday period. Leaving Cert revision will take place during the first week of the holidays, from Monday March 31 to Saturday April 4, while the Junior Cert classes will be held from Tuesday April 7 to Saturday April 11. In addition, during the second week, a strictly supervised study programme will be available to Leaving Cert students.

NUI, Galway to reward elite athletes with CAO points

Following the success of the inaugural bonus points scheme last year, NUI Galway will again reward elite athletes with 40 CAO Performance Points in recognition of their skill, time and dedication in reaching the highest level of their chosen sport. This is an extension of NUI Galway’s current Elite Athlete Scholarship scheme which includes a subsistence grant, performance supports, gym membership and medical support.

Arty-forty — NUI Galway giving bonus ‘performance points’ for the Creative Arts

Building on the success of the inaugural Creative Arts Performance Points scheme in 2014, NUI Galway is to again reward a limited number of students with exceptional achievements in selected disciplines in the creative arts with CAO ‘Performance Points’ for entry into undergraduate courses in the University. This is the only Creative Arts Scholarship Scheme of its kind offered by a university in Ireland.
