Charles Harper exhibition to launch this weekend

New Work by artist Charles Harper is the latest exhibition to be opened next weekend at The Russell Gallery, a dedicated fine art space in New Quay, Co Clare. The launch will take place on Saturday June 19 from 4pm to 6pm. There will be a wine reception and Harper will present his latest effort, an exquisite collection of 24 small watercolour pieces.

Irish Wheelchair Basketball Team to make hoop dreams a reality

The Irish Senior International Wheelchair Basketball team has left for Latvia as favourites to win Division C of the European Championships. The team, which has been training for the tournament since last September, represents Ireland’s best ever chance of coming top of the league and progressing to the prestigious Division B. Wheelchair basketball is the largest and most organised of wheelchair sports in Ireland.
