Balla man sent forward for trial for murder
Fintan McKenna of 20 Woodlands, Balla, has been sent forward for trial on one count of murder following the stabbing to death of Ballyheane man Frankie Heneghan in Kiltimagh in August of this year.

Gormley approves €2.6m for Kiltimagh wastewater plant
The Mayo County Council has been given approval to place a €2.677 million contract for the provision of a new wastewater treatment plant in Kiltimagh. The news was announced to Swinford electoral area councillor Jimmy Maloney by the Environment Minister John Gormley. Response Engineering Ltd has been granted the contract.
