People of the Tribes : Meet Andy.

Hi, my name is Andy Cavalleri. I'm an Italian by blood but Irish by heart. My parents moved here from Lake Como back in the mid 70's. We used to travel back to Italy for summer and winter holidays when we were younger, whereas now I try and get over at least once a year to catch up with family and friends. I've always had a keen interest in food and cakes from a young age, and as you do I tried all kinds of work before bouncing back to food and baking. I started trading in the Moycullen Country Market just over 4 years ago selling Spelt cakes at first and now I'm selling flourless cakes and raw vegan cakes too. It's exciting to find different methods in making cakes, I always try to make different cakes packed full of flavour.

The MARIO project is among 25 projects credited, and the only one in Ireland, with having had the most influence in Europe over the last 11 years. The project is also being featured across Europe this week on the EuroNews TV channel’s Futuris science programme.
