Five times more grant aid for Mayo IDA parks

The regional manager of the IDA, Jim Murrin, has revealed that the authority will offer investors five times more grant aid to locate in Mayo than in Dublin. However population and infrastructural deficiencies have hampered their efforts to strike deals with investors who show an interest in the west of Ireland, he told Castlebar Labour councillor Harry Barrett following a meeting to discuss the state of the IDA industrial park on the Breaffy Road, and the failure of the IDA to attract industry to the Castlebar area.

Penrose demands IDA focuses on Mullingar jobs

Willie Penrose, spoke to Barry O’Leary, the CEO of the IDA this week, appealing for priority status to be given to Mullingar. Deputy Penrose wants to see the IDA working towards attracting industry to the well appointed and well located industrial parks, situated at Marlinstown, Mullingar.

Council not ruling out judicial review of N26 refusal

Mayo County Council have not ruled out taking a judicial review against the refusal of An Bord Pleanála to grant planning permission for the long awaited phase two of the N26 to Bohola.
