Walking the Line is the title of an important book written by Kevin Brophy which describes his childhood growing up in Renmore Barracks. The ‘Line’ is the path alongside the railway line on the causeway between the barracks and the station, and is seen in our photograph c1960.

HSE must act to secure adequate GP services for Ballymore and surrounding areas — McCormack

Fianna Fail councillor Vinny McCormack has called on the Minister for Health Simon Harris to intervene and ensure that an improved GP service is put in place at Ballymore Health Centre as a matter of urgency. Cllr McCormack has made the call having received confirmation this week that the current GP operating joint clinics in Ballymore and Ballymahon has resigned from the service.
