Galway-based charity, the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, are asking women nationwide to take part in this year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon on Sunday, June 5 by joining the charity marathon team for the event.

A very special fundraising afternoon in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute will be held at the g Hotel on Sunday October 13. The event entitled ‘Afternoon Tea, Jazz and Magic at the g’ will feature music from jazz singer, Michelle Lally following the recent release of her new album ‘A Moment in Time’, accompanied by Pianist Colm Henry and Saxophonist Bertránd Huvé and magic from mentalist and magician, Aidan Murphy.

The Lodge at Ashford Castle in Co. Mayo will go pink once again on June 10th when the annual ‘Pink Afternoon' supporting Breast Cancer Research will take place.

The Ardilaun Hotel, Taylor’s Hill will play host once again to this year’s Breast Cancer Research annual Valentine’s Ball on Saturday 17th February. The gala evening, which always marks the start of Galway’s social calendar, is one of the charity's major fundraising events and monies raised help to support the breast cancer research team lead by Prof. Michael Kerin based locally at the Lambe Institute, University Hospital, Galway.
