Roscommon-based Enchanted Croi Theatre has recently announced that its new contemporary folk musical ‘In the Midst of Plenty’ will tour across Ireland, beginning with performances at the Mullingar Arts Centre on May 25 and 26, and including Town Hall Theatre Galway on June 7 and 8 and Westport Town Hall Theatre June 13 and 14.

Roscommon-based Enchanted Croí Theatre has recently announced that its production of the new contemporary folk musical ‘In the Midst of Plenty’ will embark on a 13-venue nationwide tour through spring and summer 2023. The show is the work of California-based law professor and writer/composer-lyricist Amy Day, who was inspired to write the show in 2019 after visiting the National Famine Museum at Strokestown Park while on a day off from teaching a course in international children’s rights at the Irish Centre for Human Rights at the University of Galway. The cast includes Galway native Martin Gilligan and Galway-based singer-songwriter Tracy Bruen.

So far there are over twenty vintage and classic clubs from all over Ireland registered to display – as well as the local Western Veteran & Vintage Motor Club and Kiltulla & District Vintage Club, there are clubs travelling from as far away as Carlow, Limerick, Kilkenny, Dublin, Meath, Louth and Donegal. Making the trip west for Classic Fest, these clubs will bring with them an array of cars and exhibits, including displays of individual marques like the Ford Cortina, Jaguar, Ford Capri, Toyota, TVR as well as the Mercedes-Benz Club, who have the largest stand space reserved for fifty cars.
