Fine Gael TD for Mayo, Deputy Michelle Mulherin, has said that the Government’s new Action Plan on Bullying will help to tackle the scourge of bullying in schools across Mayo. Five hundred thousand euro has been ring-fenced to support the implementation of the plan this year, which will include a campaign on cyber bullying and the development of national anti-bullying procedures for all schools.

The awarding of a grant of €10,000 to Ballina Boxing Club by the Coca Cola Thank You Fund for the promotion of ladies boxing has been warmly welcomed by Fine Gael TD for Mayo, Deputy Michelle Mulherin. Mayo Fine Gael TD Michelle Mulherin has welcomed confirmation from the management of Mayo General Hospital that it is considering using St Mary’s Hospital, Castlebar as temporary accommodation for its renal dialysis unit while work is being completed on Mayo General’s unit in the New Year.
