There was good news for Castlebar Boxing Club this week, when it was confirmed that they would be getting a new home in the county town. At the February meeting of the Castlebar Municipal District a lease between the boxing club and Mayo County Council was approved for a building located at Lough Lannagh Holiday Village.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car, part of the world’s largest vehicle rental company, Enterprise Holdings, this week opened its newest Irish branch in Castlebar. Fort Wayne Metals Ireland has announced the expansion of its production operations in Castlebar, an investment of €10 million with the addition of 20,000 sq. ft of production floor space in the next year. As a result, they plan to create 40 additional jobs over five years.
