Kilkenny were crowned the 2011 Legends Champions after a pulsating clash with arch rivals Galway at St Jude’s GAA Club, Dublin on Saturday last.

In 2010, Ray Dempsey took over the team and brought them to a Connacht final where they were narrowly beaten by Roscommon in the final.

An impressive showing in this year’s Camogie Championship has seen eight Kilkenny players nominated for an All-Star award in a list dominated by All-Ireland finalists Wexford and Galway.

The Scottish shinty team will play Cumann Mhícheál Breathnach this Saturday for the Celtic Cup at a match in the Cumann Mhícheál Breathnach GAA grounds in Connemara.
