The traditional start to the selling season began for auctioneers last Saturday when O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers opened 20 properties to the general public for open viewing. There is a sign of some confidence being restored to the market as huge numbers turned up at the open viewings, particularly first time buyers who were out in strength. O’Donnellan and Joyce concluded the last auction of the summer when it brought down the auctioneer’s gavel for the last time and successfully sold six properties by auction in the Victoria Hotel, Eyre Square, Galway. Anne Harding, the auction co-ordinator for O’Donnellan and Joyce outlined that the July auctions brought an accumulative of sales of properties in excess of €5 million, which is the highest level of sales recorded by any independent Irish auctioneering company in selling properties by public auction.

Last of O’Donnellan & Joyce auctions to take place tomorrow

O’Donnellan and Joyce will hold the last of the summer auctions this Friday at 3pm in the Victoria Hotel when it holds a major discount auction with seven properties all going under the hammer. Anne Harding, auction co-ordinator with O’Donnellan and Joyce, said they have saved the good wine until last with unbelievable value on offer this Friday.
