Tomi Reichental is a man who unfortunately has been through a lot in his life. As a nine-year-old boy he was imprisoned in the Bergen Belsen concentration camp. Tomi lost 35 members of his family during the Holocaust but never lost his ability to show empathy to others. Anne Frank was a fellow prisoner in Bergen Belsen but sadly she didn’t survive.

A survivor of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, will give a talk about his experience of the Holocaust in the Seminar Room of the Irish Centre for Human Rights at NUI Galway on Sunday, 8 November at 1pm.

The students of St Joseph’s Secondary School, Foxford, got a chilling lesson on the horrors of the Nazi regime yesterday (Thursday) when Irish based Holocaust survivor, Tomi Reichental, travelled to Mayo to share his experiences as a boy in the notorious concentration camp Bergen-Belson.
