O’Donnellan & Joyce will hold the last of its summer auctions for this year on July 20 at 3pm in the Victoria Hotel, Eyre Square, Galway.

The O’Donnellan and Joyce auction was packed to capacity once again when the company placed 18 properties under the hammer last Friday. The majority of the properties were family homes in established locations throughout Galway city.

O’Donnellan & Joyce has just brought to the market the Merriman Hotel, possibly one of the most distinctive hotels in the west, which will be offered for auction on Friday May 25 at 3pm in the Victoria Hotel, Eyre Square, Galway. The hotel, located in the centre of Kinvara, has an AMV of only €400,000.

O’Donnellan & Joyce will bring more than 20 houses to the market in the largest property auction ever held in Galway city next month. He said auctions are proving to be the best method of obtaining a sale on properties, and all the properties on offer had very realistic reserve prices, and the market decides the true value.

O’Donnellan & Joyce kicked off the 2012 auction season last week in a packed auction room in the Victoria Hotel, where nine properties went up for auction. The highlight of the afternoon was a petrol station with supermarket and off-licence in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, which was being offered for sale on the instructions of liquidators Edenville Trading Ltd and Conor O’Boyle of Commerce House, Flood Street, Galway.

O’Donnellan & Joyce will hold its first auction of the year tomorrow at 3pm in the Victoria Hotel, Eyre Square, Galway. There are 11 properties due to be auctioned on the day (unless previously sold) and three of these are apartments which would provide ideal investment properties.

The Victoria Hotel is expected to be a hive of activity for the first O’Donnellan & Joyce auction of 2012, which will take place next week on Friday February 24.
