Mayo AC had four representatives on the Irish team competing in the 30th Annual British & Irish Masters International Cross Country in Derry. It's the third time in recent years that the event has taken place north of the border - in the grounds of Stormont in 2007, at Queen's University Playing Fields in 2012 and this year at Gransha Park outside Derry. And Mayo AC have had runners in all of them. The joint hosts were Northern Ireland Athletics and the local club City of Derry Spartans and they provided a well organised event.

Forty nine Mayo AC athletes make the grade in Dublin marathon

Mayo AC had a record 49 finishers in the recent 37th Dublin City Marathon which incorporated the National Marathon Championships. It was a brilliant day for all of them, experiencing the atmosphere generated by large crowds along the course of one of Europe's top city marathons. Sixteen of them completed the 26.2 mile distance for the first time, adding to the excitement of the occasion for the club. It was a perfect day for running with hardly a breeze and temperatures of 12-14C.

Connacht secure interpro camogie crown

Connacht won their first Gael Linn Cup since 2008 when they triumphed over Leinster by 2-7 to 1-6 in an entertaining senior interprovincial camogie final at the National Sports Campus in Abbotstown.
