First Easter street event gets ready to hop

On Easter Sunday, April 4 from noon to 5pm, the Mullingar Easter EGGstravaganza will be hopping into town. Mullingar Chamber in association with Westmeath County Council, the Farmers Market, and the Dominick Street Traders are organising what will be a great family day out.

Dominick Street will be filled with local Farmers Market stalls and will also play host to the French and Continental Markets of Ireland which will make for a huge array of foods and crafts available for all tastes. An Easter egg hunt will take place in Dominick Street which will start with registration in Dominick Street at 12.30pm.

An Easter bonnet competition will take place at 2.30pm at The Wardrobe and all children are welcome to come along with their Easter creations. A tug of war will take place between the local pubs at 3.30pm.

There will also be free face painting from 2pm onwards as well as other treats for all the family. So if you are looking for distraction from your tempting Easter eggs then come on down to Dominick Street and enjoy this new event.
