Specsavers Castlebar is encouraging people to take a more proactive approach to their hearing health, by holding an open evening on Thursday November 23. The professional hearing team will be on hand to talk to both customers and non-customers about their hearing health, the services available in store, and to answer any hearing-related queries.
Guests will be greeted with a glass of prosecco on arrival, with nibbles and an array of refreshments served throughout the evening. Complimentary hearing screenings will be available to everyone, and all those who avail of a hearing screening will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a new pair of hearing aids/a pair of Balmain frames or an impressive hamper.
In addition to being experts in eye health, Specsavers Castlebar offers an unparalleled hearing service with an on-site hearing centre managed by audiologist Liz Ryan and a team of highly trained staff. It boasts hi-tech facilities and top-of-the-range equipment.
Highlighting the importance of taking a proactive approach to hearing health, audiologist Liz Ryan commented: "Untreated hearing loss can affect every aspect of life, leading to depression and social isolation, which is why early diagnosis is key. Regular hearing checks should be part of everyone’s healthcare routine and we recommend that people over the age of 55 get a hearing test every two years. We at Specsavers Castlebar encourage and welcome anyone who has concerns about their hearing to visit us in store to have a chat, so they can take the first step in tackling hearing loss."
The store is encouraging all customers, new and old, to visit the open evening next Thursday, November 23, for an enjoyable and informative night. The event will begin at 5.30pm.
