TF re-opens after second closure

The owners of the TF Royal Hotel and Theatre in Castlebar were making 'no comment' on the second closure of the hotel in recent weeks when contacted yesterday by the Mayo Advertiser.

The hotel had been closed from Monday this week until Thursday.

This was the second time the hotel had been closed for a number of days in the past fortnight.

The property was acquired a year ago by Islandeady Properties and Lansdowne Frances from receivers KPMG after it had been seized in 2012 by Royal Bank of Scotland.

The companies which operate the TF Royal Hotel, Royal Theatre, and The Harlequin Hotel are managed by a three person board of directors made up of Pat Jennings Junior, Louise Jennings, and Seamus Sutcliffe.

The Royal Theatre was the venue for the recent Mayo Day TV special which was broadcast on Irish TV and it has a number of major shows coming in the near future.

This week Welsh superstar Tom Jones was announced to play the venue on Sunday June 21 while the Mayo International Choral Festival is hosting a gala concert there on Sunday night.
