Top female marketers added to digital summit panel

RTÉ digital marketing director Lucy Campbell, and Emer Lawn, director of award winning firm Mediaworks, have been added to the panel of speakers at the first Online Marketing in Galway (OMiG ) Digital Summit.

The summit, for which the Galway Advertiser is the media partner, has generated amazing interest since its pre-Christmas launch with more than 200 tickets already sold and 25 exhibition stands booked.

As a national broadcaster in a landscape where audiences have a huge choice of content and platforms, RTÉ has embraced the opportunities that online distribution offers.   

Lucy Campbell has helped RTÉ to drive growth through the brand development of a range of products and services across print, digital and mobile.  She leads RTÉs digital marketing strategy, specialising in brand and content marketing to enable Irish and international audiences to connect with RTÉ’s content and channels on linear, online, and mobile channels.  

She has been responsible for new brand development and brand reinvigoration for a range of RTÉ services including the launch of RTÉ Player, RTÉ News Now, and SAORVIEW, as well as the establishment of a more youth facing brand strategy for RTÉ 2.

Emer Lawn is the director of digital within Mediaworks, a full service media planning and buying agency.

Ms Lawn joined Mediaworks from within the Core Media group, which she joined in 2008, moving to Ireland from the city of New York.

She has been a key influencer in the development of the digital business across the group from within Radical, Ireland’s leading full service digital agency.

Under Ms Lawn’s guidance, Radical won Social Media Agency of the Year for both 2013 and 2014.

She has been a lecturer in the area of digital marketing for several years, delivering detailed courses in the area of online public relations and social media marketing.

These two experts will add a new area of expertise to what is already a very exciting panel, consisting of  Aidan Coughlan, Newstalk Radio, Hugh Linehan of The Irish Times, Brian Harte, head of customer engagement and emarketing at  Tourism Ireland, and Stephen O’Leary, media analyst from Olytico.

The Galway Digital Summit has also partnered with Go Bus, which is offering all travelling from Dublin to the summit a special discount.

On the day of the summit, the 2.15pm service from Dublin will be known as The Summit Bus and will bring delegates straight to The Ardilaun hotel, Galway.
