A Mayo entrepreneur is busy flying sods of turf around the world.
Angela Burke of Greenway Gifts came up with the quirky business idea to package up small chunks of the ‘auld sod’ as gifts which people can send to their loved ones all over the globe to bring them a little piece of home this Christmas.
Ms Burke recently scooped a prize of free advertising for her product through a competition run by the Mayo Local Enterprise Office and she has been busy fulfilling orders ever since.
Ms Burke said she came up with the idea of the gift wrapped sods out of the blue, while cycling along the Greenway.
