How to Protect my Idea – Inc60 meeting

How to Protect my Idea will be the topic for the final Inc60 network meeting for 2014. This session will take place on Friday next December 19 at 9.30am at the GMIT Innovation Hub in Castlebar.

Before launching a new product it is important to know how to protect this new idea if you want to commercialise it successfully and to ensure your not infringing on anyone else's Intellectual Property (IP ). Cathal Lane, Patent Attorney with Tomkins will talk about common pitfalls to avoid and the fundamentals of IP systems. This short talk will be followed by a Questions and Answers Session. Inc60 is a fresh new gathering for businesses and all in just 60 minutes. Its run by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. If you own a business or are thinking of setting one up then Inc60 is for you.

It will allow you to ask business questions from worldwide experts, chat to other business owners about your business and make worthwhile contacts

Local photographer Keith Heneghan has also kindly offered to come along and do his 'Headshots for Hospice', professional headshot photography for Business people, Professionals and anyone requiring professional images for social media ( Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, etc… ) press releases, websites, seminars etc.

He will provide images cropped and sized ready for various uses. Keith will be charging €60 for anyone who wants to avail of this service and all proceeds will be going to the Mayo Roscommon Hospice. Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation is a voluntary organisation, which was set up in 1992 to help provide Specialist Palliative Care Services for the people of the two counties. Since 1992 the Hospice Palliative Care Teams have assisted in the care of over, 5,000 patients and their families.

Light festive refreshments will also be served. The meeting will commence at 9.30am and will run for 60 minutes. Come along to join in festive fun and more importantly to network for one hour.
