The Achill Artists Group is hosting an exhibition of new works at Abha Teangai, Dooagh, Achill, from August 3 to August 17.
The exhibition, entitled Gravity, will be formally launched by Irish Times art writer Aidan Dunne at 3 pm on Sunday, August 3, and all are invited to attend.
The Achill Artists group is a collective of visual artists who have organised a series of nine group exhibitions over the past 19 years - each containing new works in sculpture, painting and printmaking.
The exhibitions attract a diverse audience and are of particular interest to visitors to Achill Island, in seeking out the cultural heritage and traditions of the island.
The new exhibition includes selected works from Ronan Halpin, Mary Lavelle Burke, John McHugh, Amanda McMahon, Margo McNulty, Margaret Morrisson, Frances van Miele, Antic Ham, Willim Van Goor, Imelda Kilbane and Kathlyn O’Brien.
