Clare Island 10k to take place on May 24

The third annual Clare Island 10k has been announced for May 24.

The race, described by organisers as a ‘day out with a difference’, starts with a 25 minute ferry crossing from Roonagh Pier, just outside Louisburgh, arriving at the community centre to a warm island greeting, before setting off on the race.

The finish line welcome and hospitality includes soup, sandwiches, home baking, and unlimited tea and coffee.

Race entry, all in aid of Cancer Care West, is €38, and includes the return ferry trip.
