O’Donnellan & Joyce to hold all day auction next month

O’Donnellan & Joyce has launched plans for an all day property auction which will take place on May 9, commencing at 10am in the Harbour Hotel, The Docks, Galway. The auction will see 51 properties going under the hammer in one day.

According to Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce Auctioneers this is the biggest auction to take place in the west of Ireland.

There is a tremendous variety of properties on offer with a large number of probate sales (property of people who are deceased ), houses throughout Galway city and county, and residential and commercial investment properties throughout the west of Ireland.

If you are looking for your dream home or just a quality investment then this is an auction not to be missed.

The following is a selection of some of the properties for auction on the day.

The properties which are sure to attract the most interest are the family homes that are on offer close to the city. There are three properties on offer in Taylor’s Hill which is one of Galway city’s most sought after locations, including a five bedroom detached in Averard West, Taylor’s Hill, with an AMV of €675,000; a five bedroom detached at No 12 Ard na Coille, Maunsells Park, Taylor’s Hill, with an AMV of €550,000; and No 13 Barr na Carraige, Fort Lorenzo, Taylor’s Hill, a four bedroom detached with an AMV of €330,000.

The next four properties on offer are located in Salthill, the first is a four bedroom semidetached home at No 41 Rockbarton Park, Salthill, with an AMV of €375,000.  The second property is No 53 Grattan Park, Salthill, which requires total upgrading throughout and has an AMV of €200,000. The third property is at No 8 Glenard Crescent, a four bedroom semidetached residence with an AMV in the region of €400,000. The fourth property is a two bedroom apartment with stunning sea views at No 6 Dun na Carraige, Blackrock, Salthill, being offered with an AMV of €250,000.

Knocknacarra is always popular with the first time buyer and on offer is No 13 Rusheen Woods, a four bedroom detached residence just off the Shangort Road with an AMV of €230,000.  Also in Knocknacarra is No 12 Leitir Burca located just off the Ballymoneen Road, a four bedroom detached home with an AMV of €295,000.

On the east side of the city there is also huge variety with homes in locations such as Renmore, Wellpark, College Road, and Ballybane. On offer in Renmore is No 41 Murrough Avenue, a bungalow with an AMV of €175,000; and No 53 Dun na Mara Drive, a three bedroom semidetached home with an AMV of €150,000.  There are two properties on College Road which are sure to be among the highlights of the day as properties in this high profile location rarely come on the market.
