Coyle welcomes foreshore licence for Belmullet sewerage scheme

Fine Gael councillor Gerry Coyle has welcomed the granting of a foreshore licence and the appointment of consultants for the new sewerage scheme for Belmullet. Although there have been concerns about the location of the new treatment plant and outflow pipe Councillor Coyle believes that the new modern plant should allay some of the concerns expressed. The new scheme will be of great benefit to the town. Cllr Coyle thanked Minister Michael Ring, Taoiseach Enda Kenny, and Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan for their work in progressing the scheme, he also thanked the staff of Mayo County Council.

Councillor Coyle said that this piece of infrastructure is long overdue for a modern and vibrant town like Belmullet.
