Football fever sees plenty of talk before the final

With the All Ireland final not to long away now, there’s not much else being talked about around the county. If you’re someone who is looking for some expert opinion on the game over the next week, there’s plenty of opportunities to hear some expert views.

On Saturday night in Ballina, the Stephenites will be hosting a preview night in clubhouse from 8.30pm where Terry Reilly from the Irish Examiner will put Kevin McStay, Liam McHale and Eamon O’Hara through the wringer. Admission is €10 and there will be a raffle on the night open to those in attendance for All Ireland final tickets.

On Tuesday night Breaffy GAA club will be hosting their own discussion night where the guest will include Martin Carney, John Casey and Ray Silke. They will give their views on the final and answer some questions from the crowd. Tickets cost €10 and it will get underway at 8.30pm and there will be All Ireland final tickets up for grabs for your €10 admission fee.

Next Thursday night Mayo GAA in association with Cáirde Mhaigheo, Mid West Radio and The TF Hotel will be holding an Up for the Match function night in The TF Royal Theatre Hotel, Castlebar. Special guest on the night will be Martin McHugh, with interviews from Mayo manager James Horan, Kieran McGeeney and Joe Brolly. And if that’s not enough talk on the eve of the final there are two events in Dublin. Muintir Mhaigh Eo Dublin will be hosting an Up for the Match Event in Moran’s Red Cow Hotel, with MC Paul Collins (Today FM ) and a host of great Mayo and other football legends!
