Ballyhaunis Men’s Shed – appeal for donations

The Ballyhaunis Men’s Shed Association has after much hard work and effort secured a premises for use as a men’s shed at the Quinn’s Commercial Unit, Main Street, (behind Val’s Bar & Bistro ) next to Eddie Murphy’s.

The Men’s Shed is open to men over 18 years, employed, unemployed, or retired and provides a place within the town where men can learn and pass on skills, pursue hobbies, pastimes, and interests as well as a place to catch up on the local news and make new friends. Membership is free and all are welcome to go along and sign up.

Ballyhaunis Men’s Shed is now appealing for donations of equipment and materials as well as for furniture and other items that will be of use to the group. In particular the Men’s Shed is looking for donations of tools, equipment, machinery, pallets, wood, timber, furniture, paint, household items, books, etc.

Any donations can be dropped off at the new head quarters. The Men’s Shed is now open from 9am to 12 noon Monday to Friday and collections can be arranged for items if necessary by telephoning 086 035 8066 or email [email protected]

The Men’s Shed Association also continues to meet in the Friary House every second Tuesday at 7.30pm (next meeting April 9 ).
