Knock Marriage Introductions, the Mayo Catholic dating agency, which has been match making since 1968, celebrated 10 marriages from member couples last year.
The organisation, which is very happy with the number of applications it receives and the subsequent success of the matches it suggests, is ready to launch its new website knockmarriagebureau.com today. The website was designed by local cloud computing company CloudStrong.
Knock Marriage Introductions has also just published its 45th annual report which shows it had 580 written enquiries and approximately 1,000 telephone enquiries over the last year. Its AGM was fittingly held on February 14, St Valentine’s Day.
Of those enquiries 187 applied for membership, 98 of whom were men and 89 of whom were women. Sixty nine men in the 25 to 45 age group joined the organisation while there were 29 in the 46 to 75 age group.
Figures for women were very similar with 66 applying for membership in the 25 to 45 age group and 23 in the 46 to 75 age bracket.
The agency maintains contact with its matches every month for a period after they have been matched to ensure it is a success.
All applications are treated in the strictest of confidence with no address divulged by them to either person concerned in an introduction and all correspondence is forwarded by post in plain, sealed, envelopes.
