Legendary Galway singer Sean Keane will perform at The Legend of Gráinne Mhaol special Christmas concert at Hotel Westport on December 29. Steeped in Irish folklore and raised in a family famous for wonderful singing and music, Keane is regarded as one of Ireland’s finest traditional performers.
“I am really looking forward to seeing the Gráinne Mhaol show myself on the night as I have heard so many positive things about it. I always enjoy performing in Mayo as the people there appreciate their music immensely and they have a great grá for their history and heritage,” commented Keane ahead of his performance in Westport.
Sean was a founding member of the traditional group Arcady and he has performed alongside his sister Dolores, accordionist Máirtín O'Connor, Sharon Shannon, and Frances Black over the years. His first solo album, All Heart, No Roses, won a debut album of the year award.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have such a recognised singer perform with us at the Gráinne Mhaol Christmas concert at Hotel Westport on December 29. Keane's musical repertoire is world renowned and it is a great honour that he is coming to Mayo for this concert,” commented the Gráinne Mhaol show producer Pierce O’Reilly.
