The International 16 Days Opposing Violence Against Women runs from November 25 (which is UN Day Opposing Violence Against Women ), to December 10 (which is Human Rights Day ).
One event taking place during the 16 days include a lilies ritual, which will be held in Castlebar at 1pm at the Church on Monday December 10. This ritual will commemorate the women who have lost their lives, women who are missing, women who are subject to rape, sexual assault and sexual abuse, women who are trafficked and forced into prostitution.
