Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Michael Ring has announced that funding of €33,000 has been approved by Fáilte Ireland for festivals and events taking place in Mayo next year.
“Next year promises to be a great one for festivals, with a huge range of local events taking place in almost every corner of Ireland,” stated Minister of State Ring.
Events receiving funding are Scoil Acla Trad Music And Cultural Summer School - €4,000, Mayo International Choral Festival - €7,500, Westport Arts Festival - €5,000, Westport Food Festival - €7,500, Bonniconlon Show - €4,000 and Cong Festival 2013 - €5,000.
