Waterpoint Aquapark in Enniscrone, a few miles from Ballina, has something for everyone. The community built centre is an all-weather facility comprising a kiddies fun pool, 65 metre waterslide, outdoor children’s playground and three all weather astro pitches. Together with a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and gym, it is the answer to any parents’ or guardians’ quest for relaxation and some fun for the children in this country’s unpredictable climate.
Stay as long as you wish with no time limits on your visit. A family of two adults and two children can have all of this for just €25.
With the arrival of the long, dark evenings Waterpoint’s fully kitted out gym with its spin bike class, private power plates, toning and circuit classes, along with weekly aquafit, there is no excuse to become fit and healthy in a friendly, sociable environment in the winter months. Most classes are free of charge to members.
You can join for €50 per month, or avail of their three month deal at €125. There is an early bird special of €5 morning, admittance Monday to Friday.
Gym circuits for 14 and 15 year olds takes place on Friday evenings at 4pm. Waterpoint runs swim lessons for adults and children throughout the week.
Other activities: The Waterpoint weekly weigh-in club. This will be a weekly weigh-in, some discussion on diet followed by some light exercise. Outdoor bootcamp takes place on Mondays and Fridays.
If you are exhausted after all of this you can unwind at Sunset Beauty and Spa at Waterpoint. From September 3 opening hours will be on Monday from 8am to 11am and from 4pm to 9.30pm; Tuesday to Friday 10am to 1pm and from 4pm to 9.30pm.
Saturday 10am to 6pm (starting from September 22 from 1pm to 6pm )
Sunday 12pm to 6pm.
