Up to 50 jobs are to be created in Mayo by a Sligo based home care provider.
Bluebird Care made the jobs announcement following the company’s recent appointment as an HSE approved provider for enhanced homecare packages.
A total of 75 jobs are to be created in total and the company has plans to open a Mayo office, the Mayo Advertiser has learned.
The positions will come on stream over the next six months and will be open to care workers, live-in care workers, and support workers throughout Mayo and Sligo.
Operating since 2009, Bluebird Care staff pride themselves on delivering the highest level of care within the community.

Interested candidates should hold a FETAC Level 5 (8 Modules ) health care assistant and/or An Bord Altranais Registration (nurses ) and have experience in delivering high quality care.
Preference will be given to candidates who also demonstrate their reliability, self-motivation, dedication, and passion about high standards. Candidates also need a full driving licence and to own their own car.
Experience in caring for children, young adults and older people, as well as experience with physical and sensory or learning disability care is also welcome.
Full training will be provided for successful applicants including people handling training; ongoing training and development; in-house training modules; Bluebird Care induction programme and Garda vetting.
