Castle Book and Card Centre Ltd in Castlebar is the only store in Mayo to be nominated in the Connacht category of the 2011 Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards for Irish Bookshop of the Year. The winning retailer will win a prize fund of €5,000 worth of free electricity. The award is designed to recognise the vital role Irish booksellers play in connecting writers and readers.
The Bord Gáis Energy Irish Bookshop of the Year Award winner will be announced as part of the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards gala awards ceremony which will take place in Dublin’s RDS on Thursday November 17.
